Turbo Tax Rocks!

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. Each year it gets even better. I like comparing year to year to remind me of items I may have forgotten.
The process is easy once you've done your first return because everything transfers to the next year.
There is always help if you get stuck.
I recommend Turbo tax to all my friends.

Turbo Tax is easy

Turbo Tax is the best tax program that I know of. It is easy to use. It gives you step-by-step information and asks every little detail. I was surprised to see a deduction connected with Ottoman Empire (First World War), and another one regarding US Tax treaties. Amazing !
What's great about it: step by step help. shows many exemptions and deductions that you haven't even heard of. user friendly.

I must state that I appreciated what Turbo Tax has accomplished in the development of this sincere product. I also want to highly thank and offer appreciation for the representative that informed and guided me through the thicket of the area that discussed investments, SS-R, and 1099-MISC sections. She was tremendous. All in all, Thank You !!!

Saves me a ton of time!

I had a Federal return and 9 states! It would have been to hard to copy over all the Fed info by hand to the states. TT did it all for me.
What's great about it: Easy, thorough, carries over prior year's info
What's not so great: Expensive for extra states software and efile
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

I've used TurboTax for probably 20 years and it always helps to ease the pain of filing. I always procrastinate when it comes to doing my taxes. Who doesn't, right?
The feature I love the most about TurboTax is that once you get started, it's hard to stop. The program takes you step by step through your tax preparation. If you're missing a document, it's really easy to come back and revisit an area, fill in the missing information and continue on.
Another thing I like about Turbo Tax is that it helps me uncover deductions that I may have forgotten about,
helping me maximize my refund.

I wouldn't go without TurboTax and it allows me to feel confident that I didn't need to consult with an accountant or tax preparer.

One glitch, caused a total restart of return

Couldn't find how to remove some or all of the 2012 data (specifically carry forward numbers). Help answers were useless; of course it was last minute, no time to wait for a question to be answered, no emergency call number. Only solution was to erase the entire return and start over, not allowing system to import any 2012 return info. A least 8 hours of repeated work.
The program doesn't handle the wide range of information and lack thereof on Schedule K-1s. Faking an answer at times is the only way to move forward.
Really needs a import of spreadsheet data function.
Have purchased higher priced versions each year since 2009 or 2010. This year the Home & Business version really failed me. Don't know if I'll use Turbo Tax for my 2014 return
What's great about it: Overall good software, gets the job done
What's not so great: Some data once in can't be removed, help doesn't, no speadsht import

Excellent software that enables the novice to feel confident in filing their own taxes. I have used TurboTax for several years now.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

First Time for TurboTax

Had many W2Gs from same casino. Would've saved a lot of time if there was a feature allowing duplication of casino's info into new entry screen.
