Great tax software product

I have been TurboTax for 20 years. Intuit makes great software products by implementing users suggestions into their products. The 2014 version of the software is good but might let an inexperienced taxpayer overlook the opportunity to reduce his or her income tax liabilities by not actively presenting the options of making a contribution to an IRA account.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and easy to understand interview questions.
What's not so great: Lack of What If tools.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Last minute, No problem

This is my 5th year using turbo tax Home and Business and it gets easier and faster every year
What's great about it: Quick and easy ,does it all for me.
What's not so great: seems a little expensive for do it yourself

What a relief!

TTax keeps on getting better. The autodownloads worked - hurray! The way I look at it is my institutions are now trusting the accuracy of TTax. Thank you for continuing to improve this app.
What's great about it: ITs Deductible was incorporated into TTax! W2 download worked! Investment downloads worked!
What's not so great: Nothing I didn't like in this version

A big Surprise and Not Good

This is the first time I was not able to electronically file my federal tax return. There was a glitch, because i had updated before I started and then did so several more times in an attempt to transmit when I got the error.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: I kept getting am error message that the reason my federal return failed to transmit was due to not having all updates.

I felt like I was assumed to know a lot of info which I didn't. I did not have a smooth experience this year with taxes felt very unsure in many places and did not find the guidance.

Disappointing

I have used TurboTax for fourteen years and this is the worst one!! This year I used the Home & Business and I had the hardest time e-filing, TurboTax kept saying "Your transmission didn't go through", check for and apply any updates. There were updates and I applied them, still could not e-file, check again and there are still updates, so I apply them and it still can't e-file. Finally I go online and read to solve the problem I need to go though variations of ... uninstall, restart Mac, reinstall, restart Mac, empty trash, restart Mac, .... I emptied the trash, restarted Mac and this time I was missing half the tabs on top, I had the wrong tax displayed and could not get back to the Federal section of Easy Guide. I could go to the Forms and see all the forms but I couldn't find why it was calculating incorrectly. Finally I trashed the application and re-installed (before this I did save my taxes). When I started this time I had a third, different number for taxes!! But this time I could get to the Easy Guide and found where some numbers had not been saved !?? Three hours!! after I tried to e-file I finally got them e-filed!! I'm serious when I say I'm re-thinking TurboTax, especially when you don't have a Mac version for 1120s and K-1 forms!!
Now I'm spending time finding a nickname I can use, very frustrating!!
