Not as smooth as usual, but still good

Have used for 6 consecutive tax years. This was the first time I have ever had a problem. Several forms had glitches that would not allow me to delete previous-year info which was no longer relevant. Also had difficulty e-filing (software kept insisting that I had not updated). All problems were solved by searching the TurboTax forums and following the tech instructions.
What's great about it: Thorough business coverage, Helpful online forums
What's not so great: Glitches in forms, Several tech difficulties

Terrible Experience

Turbo Tax did not inform me to change my PIN numbers, e-file got rejected several times even after this was corrected. No good clues to what I should do, and no one to call.
What's great about it: Most entries were easy, helps were good
What's not so great: Turbo Tax autmatically entered my PIN from last year, gave no hint that this should be changed.

made taxes more painful than necessary

I have used turbo tax for years but this year earned money in Guam and a continental state and turbo tax made it really hard to get the filing right. i had to look up a bunch of IRS docs on line to figure out what to do and then I couldnt even pay through turbo tax with a credit card because Guam wasnt in the drop down menu for state. I thought this was pretty poor for a comprehensive tax software that costs as much as turbo tax.
What's great about it: it collected most of the important information and organized it for me
What's not so great: wouldnt let me efile with a credit card since my CC billing address is in Guam. Didnt consider circumstances for Guam

Easy way to file returns. Love the way it saves your data from the last year it really cuts down on the time to do taxes.

What's not so great: Somtimes difficult to go back to an exact point to modify something

TurboTax has Matured!

the only glitch was that the program suggested I should download a Pennsylvania return as well as New Jersey because my wife works in Pennsylvania. But the NJ-PA compact provides she is only taxed in New Jersey and it is New Jersey tax that is withheld from her pay.
What's great about it: I have a fairly complicated tax situation and finally this year I did not have to spend hours making adjustments.
What's not so great: None this year.

WOW!!! I was extremely impressed by Kenisha's knowledge, she was such a gentle person.. very kind to me.. as I repeated myself.. and sometimes interrupted..
I have never done screen share before.. no one had ever offered me that option.. it made it easier for her to see what I was doing..
I became scared to file because of the audit as I do not make alot in pet care and I was at high risk because of my expenses.. she had reassured me..
Please make this review part of her permanent employment file, and make sure she does get and award for exceptional service.

Makes a tough task easier

Overall an excellent product, and I've been using it for years. I love how it guides through the process, but I do wish there were an easier way to jump around in it more directly when using step-by-step.
What's great about it: Walk-through of the process
What's not so great: sometimes difficult to find your way back to a place to work
