2013 a good year?

I have used TT more than ten years and trust the programs purchassed to provide CPA assistance at tax time. This is the first version that had info statements and essential examples on every subject on the form. The "on disc" and "On Line" help files with FAQ allowed thorough searches on needed subject matter with easy to navigate entry for non-covered subjects. This version recaculates on the fly for a real time cause and effect. I thought I had found a glitch in the programming but it error was in my understanding of the definition. While the FAQ answers were written for non-novices, the examples clarified the fog. I'll be back next year.
What's great about it: Easier to get around in the program and jump from assisted to manual.
What's not so great: Info and help explainations seemed written by CPAs for CPAs.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall easy to use. Oil Royalty entries are very confusing, as it insists they be entered into the Business Section. I consider these personal income; also I get income from operating companies and have no idea what the real location address of the properties are.
What's not so great: Oil Royalty entry is VERY confusing. TT Wants to put it into Business Section, when it is a personal income

I had some difficulty lining up the expenses on the correct line. It would help if the 1040 line number was included so I could make sure I had it correct.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and recommend it to everyone I talk to about taxes. I will continue to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax asks all the questions that I need to maximize my refund.
What's not so great: A lot of questions, but not Turbo Tax problem.

It is getting easier each time.
Suggest that you provide a printable outline for how to organize data needed to prepare for entering items in turbo tax.
Love being able to explore on my own/enter on own. However, in some cases (forgot which ones) it is still a little cumbersome to have to back through question by question to get to the right spot. Flags are handy.
Please outline or lightly shade the boxes to be filled in so you can more easily see where to enter the dollar amount -- especially in charitable contributions. date box mm/dd/yyyy was easy to see but box to add $ amount was not.
Also, I wanted to edit the name of the charity but only way to do that was to delete it altogether and add it back.
Glad you dropped requirement to include the address for the charity.
What's not so great: sections when all i wanted to do was fix one item.

I have used Turbo Tax for 6 years to file the tax returns for all of my family members. I keep coming back each year because the software loads data from the previous year to minimize the data entry and also provides a year to year comparison.
I also especially like the guided process for completing your return.
What's great about it: the way the software guides you thru the return
