If you have all your info this software is a breeze. I could do it at my pace and WHEN I wanted to do it. This was important for me as a self-employed contractor.
What's great about it: Great explanations and easy to follow
What's not so great: got mixed results using the "find" search box

I've used TurboTax every year for the last 8 years. It always provide me with easy to follow instructions and tutorials. I like to have a handle of my finances and TurboTax helps me do it. It always gets me the maximum refund and I'm always relieved when I e-file my taxes. Thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: Quick & Easy
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I Hate K-1s!

Every year, my frustration over filing Schedule K-1s in TurboTax increases. I wish the forms from the GP were downloadable and that Turbotax's nomenclature was fully consistent with the forms received.
What's great about it: Simple program, easy to follow
What's not so great: Not enough support for Schedule K-1

Plain and simple

Year after year the program gets easier to use and always gives me satisfactory results. No surprises.
What's great about it: Easy user friendly all the way through
What's not so great: Program doesn't always lead the user to take every possible deduction.

I really enjoy preparing my own taxes because, you educate yourself and what you don't comprehend you can search topics. Very detailed if you need it to be.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything!
What's not so great: When you go back at times, it erases what you have checked and to proceed again... you have to recheck boxes.

Works Last Minute

The format makes it so easy to maximize deductions ...great walk through...
We particularly like the home business - Schedule C - format. It helps us know which expenses go where and the tracking of depreciation is exceptional.
What's great about it: User friendly!
