Awesome! See above Cons for suggested fixes. Overall, much better than last year!
What's great about it: A complex Tax Return done fast, simple and guaranteed
What's not so great: A little confusing when returning to form from website at a place that was different from departure.

Easy to use, but payment bug
on March 11, 2014

TurboTax was great. It helped keep everything organized, and manage both personal taxes and taxes from my small business. They gave me a lot of my money back!
The only problem was when it came down to e-filing. There is some glitch in the credit card processing (it said no internet connection, but the step prior I was able to successfully log in, so that could not be the issue) so that I had to call a phone number to process the payment over the phone. The phone number listed on the help is actually wrong, so I had to find the correct one by calling the general help center. Once I got connected to the correct department, everything went smoothly. However, if I had waited until the last minute to do my taxes, this would have really become a problem.
What's great about it: Very simple to joint file and handle small business with personal income.
What's not so great: Some kind of bug when trying to submit credit card payment.
Pros: I moved

Have been using this format since 2006. It just keeps on getting better.
What's great about it: Burden on the system and not the end user. Excellant format, user friendly.
What's not so great: None at this time

Don't Change the door handle

I'm also a WOMR agent. Based on what I've heard the customers say and my experience. 1) if the reason the program can't do something and it's because of an IRS form limitation tell them how it can be safely/legally be done (1099-div more than 3 countries) 2) If they are filing state & during error check it gives an error message that says you can't efile bcause you don't need to file -- tell them in the message that this error can be fixed later when you unselect the state to be e-filed. 3) don't change the door handle just because it's a new year. I have heard several (lost count) customers say they liked TTO in past years, but this year has changed too much and they are going somewhere else. 4) I live in Texas ( no state income tax) is there a way to stop the state dialogue from even showing up?
What's great about it: The dialogues are still good
What's not so great: At the same time, some can be improved especially in the review

Turbotax

I have used TurboTax since the mid 90's. Some years were better than others as far as usability. For the last several years the product has been solid and easy to use. One key thing is that if you run a small business get the business version as using the standard version for business is difficult and frustrating. In general TurboTax makes a boring task manageable.
What's great about it: Thorough and easy to use
What's not so great: Occasionally I got stuck in irrelevant forms
