Solid Performance

Complicated return made input more difficult but I could always get answers from the program.
What's great about it: Ease of use, Deduct it feature, electronic filing
What's not so great: Some forms did not fit in anywhere
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Makes it possible for me to do my own taxes. Period.
It handles my business, and its deductions, as well as the family stuff. Gives me confidence I have it right..

Detailed help much appreciated

My return became complicated so I had to contact TurboTax directly to receive help. Getting through all their web pages and menus to get to a live person was challenging, however, once I got in touch with an experienced person based in Iowa I received the help I needed plus she sent me a full version of TT that I've loaded onto my computer. Now the process of preparing the return works so much better.
What's great about it: I received help from an experienced professional based in Iowa.
What's not so great: The online version of TurboTax I initially bought did not perform as expected

TurboTax rocks!

I have been using TurboTax for many, many years. Even with rental properties and self-employment, TurboTax provides extensive information and resources enabling me to figure out how to reach the numbers I need to enter into their forms. Whether the informations pop-ups, or the online forum where I can enter a question and receive a fast answer, I can always find what I need. This year I even found an industry-specific list for business supplies, very helpful!
What's great about it: Leads me by the hand, provides answers to in-depth questions
What's not so great: Occasional gaps in information

When I didn't understand something, it would have been easier to just ask my tax guy, but the answers were easily found through TurboTax.
What's great about it: Holds your hand all the way through the process.
What's not so great: Some things I didn't understand.
