Very easy tax program, thorough, I like the fact you can go
your own way or you can be asked all the questions.
Much improved as compared to about 10 years ago.
Efile with ease. I like that fact you can do multiple returns.

I would recommend to anyone who needs to do tax returns.
What's great about it: Easy,fast & efficient--very organized tax program

A little harder to use than previous years

I have intuit payroll and wanted to transfer the information to the tax return, but was unable. Also, the ability to get on Turbo tax was a little more difficult this year. The past returns didn't come up on the initial pages and I had to find them on my computer and click on the 2012 returns.
Otherwise, all went well and the return is filed.

What's great about it: transfers from prior years
What's not so great: couldn't transfer from intuit payroll
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax 2013

I've used TT for years and have been pretty happy with the ability to easily do my tax return. The only thing I am unhappy with is that this year, because of changes in the pricing and forms offered by various TT products, I had to upgrade to different versions at significantly higher prices. I had always used the Deluxe version, but now to report capital gains from sale of stock or mutual funds, one has to get the Premier edition. To file a Schedule C, which was formerly covered under the Deluxe version, we had to purchase the Home and Business edition--a much more expensive product. Otherwise, no complaints.
What's great about it: Accurate, Easy to Use
What's not so great: Program changes in 2013 required purchase/upgrade to more expensive program

Quick and Painless

What's great about it: Very clear and concise.
What's not so great: State capital gains and loss distribution could be improved.

Make it as "turbo tax for dummies" format.

I like being in charge. I keep very good numbers and take the time to write down, for example, very descriptive details for charitable donations. Therefore I can use ItsDeductible w/ great accuracy and probably get more back than using vague numbers. Renting a house and owning my own business -- turbo tax makes it easy!
What's great about it: If I have my numbers, just fill in the blanks
What's not so great: Nothing -- except taxes just aren't fun
