Like Product, Used it for years

I like Turbo Tax, Have like it and used it for many years. this year I had to upgrade my computer (not your fault), and with that I was required to use windows 8/7. Everything was great until I tried to print my return for my records. At that point I was sent to a screen that inferred that I buy a [somewhat pricey] "Conversion connection" that would convert Turbo Tax's PDF files to Word files to print.
What's great about it: I like how it walks you through each step
What's not so great: Had trouble printing 'my' copy for the paper trail.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very thorough program

The whole process was quite time consuming, but the program led me through the return with fill in the blank questions in a very logical path, and offered helpful tips about more exemptions. We donated a lot of clothing and household items throughout the year and the software made it so easy to do the deductions right...and get every last bit of credit.
The business and teacher portions were very helpfull. especially the home office calculations.
I have used Turbo Tax Home and Business for at least 18 years and can truthfully say it gets us all the deductions we are entitled to.

Great Tax Program

Great tax program. I have confidence it is done right!
What's great about it: Takes away the drudgery of calculations by doing fast accurate calculations.
What's not so great: "Amount of Refund to be credited to next year's taxes?" Not clear if that should be a percentage or a dollar amount?

Turbo Tax may have incorrectly proportioned health ins. premium between self-employed business and Sched A Health Ins. Premium.
What's great about it: step-by-step is very good
What's not so great: Unable to learn how health insurance premium was proportioned

Generally the best deal going. A few bugs, a few ambiguous instructions.
Used it before, will use it again.
What's great about it: saved time, lots of crosschecking
What's not so great: charged me twice for 1 state return

My First Time For Doing My Own Taxes!

I was nervous attempting to do this on my own, but the expense that usual follows once I go back to pick them up, stuck in the back of my mind and I became determined to do it myself after all these years. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with the process. It takes some bit of thinking and analyzing but it can be done.

What's great about it: It was somewhat challenging, but the information provided was excellent.
What's not so great: It would have helped if I had had a class on doing my own taxes before I began. It does take several days.
