I have used Turbo Tax for 3 years now -- love it--wouldn't use any other filing system.

I've used Turbotax (and Quicken) since it first came out--I like it and I continue to buy and use it.
What's great about it: Leads you through it, carefully
What's not so great: If you know what form you want to look at specifically, it's not clear how to get there easily.

I really like Turbo tax and all the help available. I am hesitant to take the advise of the community since I don't know if they are correct.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walked me through every possible scenario.

Been using these products since 1995. still the best I think. If I have my information organized....I am done in an evening and i wait till next day to review and file. this edition worked well for me.
What's great about it: quick and easy

Turbo tax failed to give me a good feel for the IRA roll over and failed to Help me with car dectuctions for my sales job.
There are several programing mistakes

I use turbo tax every year and it just gets better. Connecting to my banks and brokerages directly seems scary but saves me a bunch of time.

The con was that at the end, it would not transmit the return. I kept getting the same message that updates were available, so I kept downloading and installing the updates, whatever they were, then I went through the entire return, but after 3 times, nothing in my taxes had changed. I finally resigned myself to printing it and mailing it, but then I closed it and went back, tried again, and the fourth time, it worked!
What's great about it: Walked me through the process
What's not so great: When I was ready to file, it kept having me download updates

This Year's Fun with Taxes

Turbo Tax does not give me attitude. It doesn't tell me I am an idiot and doesn't argue. It gives me clear instructions as to what I need and what my options are. It does not care what I am wearing or what time of day it is. It just sits there and helps me do my taxes...
What's great about it: I was taken by the hand and simply had to follow...
What's not so great: what's with the little add on fees?
