Just Click and Type, Simple

Use TurboTax every year and love it. It is the best IMO.
What's great about it: easy interface with the interview process
What's not so great: could not load the State update until I logged in as an Admin

Great Product

Have been using TurboTax Home and Business for a number of years and have been very happy. Very helpful that it pulls info from past returns and accounting software. ItsDeductible gives us good values on donations. I will continue to use it and recommend it to others.
What's great about it: Detailed, Easy to switch between forms and step-by-step, help is very good.
What's not so great: Bit difficult to get back to review sections. High cost to e-file my state return

Need an Accounting Degree

I have a stock option plan. If turbo tax created some 'fake' return examples to help people understand how to enter the data it would be great
What's great about it: good support and relatively straight forward
What's not so great: It is frequently hard to understand where each number goes in

Get Your Act Together

Nothing like a little more stress added to tax filing. We are Mac users and ran into trouble e-filing and finally found out all we had to do was eject the disc, quit program and restart. There were no instructions to do this at the start. We also had trouble with having to re-complete sections of the federal form because it did not save. We were also unable to use this for our two city tax forms and we were unhappy about the large e-filing fee for State of Michigan tax forms. We've used Turbo for years, but will watch for another competitive tax filing software.
What's great about it: We eventually were able to e-file
What's not so great: Poorly designed user interface

Really helps keep you up to date with details

I have consistently used Turbo Tax for multiple years. I think that most people can file themselves using this product. Sure helps understanding the changes each year in our tax system.
What's great about it: Able to file online - easy to follow
What's not so great: Sometimes less known issues can be confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

just what I always need

i have a home based business and the home and business is so easy to do this on my own.
I have been using Turbo tax since it first came out.

What's great about it: it is SO easy - just follow the questios
What's not so great: sometimes if you change your mnd about somethig it doesn't catch on

Great Refund - but

I have a relatively simple return situation, which for the past few years includes a second home that is a rental property. I get the Home & Business edition, which may be overkill, but I find that the business stuff makes it hard to navigate to the rental property stuff. Really, I just want TT to detect that I had a rental property last year and let me edit the numbers. Eventually it did do that but I had to go down some incorrect paths entering business stuff before TT figured out my situation. It's probably user error on my part but it would make it easier for me if the rental property situation was a little more upfront. Also, I'd rather do my personal stuff first and then the business stuff.
What's great about it: importing last year's return
What's not so great: rental property hard to find
