Easy

We work in VA and have been living in NC and have a new home in SC this year so we had to file in 3 states. The past few years there have been problems filing correctly and I wound up paying in NC and VA. Last year NC refunded everything I paid and I was very happy that this year I paid only in VA where we work. Happy this has been fixed.
What's great about it: Fixed the multiple state issues I have had for the past few years!

Problem with form F vs 4835

The tax program did not get me to form 4835, instead it started a form F
The information imported from last years 4835, however the step by step process took us to form F, which is not required.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Love it!

I've used Turbo Tax Individual for many years and have recently started using the Home and Business version. The program walks me through the interview step-by-step, checks for additional deductions, possible errors and audit risk. For me, it's more convenient than having an accountant do my taxes for me.

turbo tax just like the product quicken continues to get worse every year. I think it's time for a change for me next year
What's great about it: carrys informatiom over
What's not so great: dont trust interview you will get errors, on big sales pitch

2013 Taxes with MA E file

For next year, I wrote a note to myself that the issue isn't with Turbo Tax not letting MA e-filers complete their taxes, it's MA itself.
I am self employed and also a parent obliged to fill out FAFSA which has a Feb deadline - Turbo Tax was the only way I could guarantee my taxes would be complete for FAFSA purposes; regular accountants weren't delivering the goods without a lot of anxiety, nagging, and general uneasiness.
What's great about it: Easy and time saving
What's not so great: Mass. won't let Turbo Tax users file too early

Awesome Package

I was once a Texas State Auditor. Then I wrote a bestselling book. Then I became a tenured professor. I have been audited 7 times in my life with NO changes. This is BEFORE finding true happiness with this tax season. Maybe all my troubling visits to the IRS office will now end.
What's great about it: Easier than using a human.
What's not so great: I have few negatives about Turbo Tax.

TurboTax Use

Been using TurboTax for 7-8 years and every year for at least the last 3 the changes have been significant. Otherwise I think it is a good product.
What's great about it: Quick, don't have to calculate on my own!
What's not so great: Problems with printing 1099s in late January
