Very helpful, especially for someone who doen't know much about taxes - Turbo Tax has all the current information that we need and makes helpful suggestions.
What's great about it: Easy to work with - very helpful, especially for someone who doesn't know much about taxeds
third year in a row turbo tax did not deliver a promise to transfer the prior years info and w-2 info. did not save any time here . Disapointing , feel I was paying for the service by purchaseing the product.
Otherwise tax info seems to be spot on.
What's great about it: covered all tax situations
What's not so great: failed to copy and transfer w-2 info as promised
Easiest way to generate and file final income tax returns, both federal and state. It is possible to use Excel spreadsheets for the figuring, but letting Turbotax do it saves hours. Also, all data are stored and printed electronically, which saves time once all the calculations are completed.
What's great about it: Excellent organization; easy q&a sequences
I have completed my taxes on turbotax for several years now> It won't let me print out the results. It asks if I have a printer--I do. I is connected and prints everything else from my computer, but Turbo. I tried the Turbo printer icon, and my File printer, but nothing works. Help.
What's great about it: I have used TurboTax for years.
What's not so great: For the first time, I have had a problm; I couldn't print it.
TurboTax asked if I had taken the Minimum Required Distribution from my IRA but did not ask what the amount of distribution was. On the final federal form, line 15a (IRA distributions) was blank, but 15b (taxable amount) showed a value close to, but not quite equal to, the IRA distribution which I took. Hard to understand where these numbers come from!
What's great about it: Easy to follow step-by-step
Software didn't carryover the fact that we had a home office and would let me input my utilities insurance and taxes on the first pass and was difficult to find the area on the second pass.
