Great software, very user friendly! Much of my information was pulled automatically since I used TurboTax last year. Entering investment transactions is a tedious task but not sure how to improve it. Would be a big improvement if my financial institutions had been available to transfer some information automatically.
Will definitely continue to use TurboTax!
What's great about it: Thorough, understandable, step-by-step methodology
What's not so great: My financial institutions weren't available for transaction download

great except for dealing with state return

Turbo Tax has rigged the software to steer you into e-filing for the state return. Printing a copy of the state return for mailing purposes seems either difficult or perhaps impossible (I haven't figured it out as yet.)
The federal return works smoothly.
What's great about it: Federal return
What's not so great: Trying to print state return for mailing

I love Turbo Tax!

Turbo Tax provides the ability for the Professional to move swiftly through the software as well as the novice to be prompted by user friendly questions and fill out their form correctly. This is the major marketing point for Turbo Tax. I would not use anything else.
What's great about it: The best thing about Turbo Tax is the ability for both novices and professionals to use the software.
What's not so great: I have been using Turbo Tax since they bought Parsons Software many years ago!

5th year still not transfering ALL info

For 5 years only the most basic information is transfered over into this years form. I still have to add my work place and my bank which has not changed. sigh. Love the detail to get the best refund or lower the tax due, but tired of repeating same info each year. Reason is each year it reminds me that next year ALL my info will be transfered and it will be easier.
I have returned to my account and only some have transfered from last year.
I have gotten the information from last years TurboTax PDF copy to transfer and still only the basic is transfered.
Thank you for the chance to share.
What's great about it: Covers the bases which change each year
What's not so great: 5 years of inputting same info over and over

I have been using TT for more than 10 years, I continue to use them and then send my returns to my accountant. The same answer every year from my accountant... Great Job! Who needs an accountant!

Awesome Product

This product continues to be the best year after year. I own a small business and I don't want to pay the accounting fees. I was intimidated by tax filing until 3 years ago. Each year my tax submission is a bit more complicated but TurboTax continues to rise to challenge, walking me through every detail of my return and giving me the confidence that it's complete and accurate. Thank you, TurboTax!
What's great about it: Incredibly easy to use
What's not so great: I can't think of any!

F-1 not enough info.
Foreign taxes paid (stock) not enough info.
Some questions can be interpreted backwards...interest paid (to whom? you or other?

What's great about it: Easy to go back and forth from interview mode to forms.
What's not so great: Help gets "iffy" when taxes become more complicated.

Couldn't Be Easier To Do My Taxes

This was my first year w/the Home & Business version, but TurboTax helped me deal with K-1's relatively easily. Also, I had to call the TurboTax help line and the individual I dealt with was knowledgeable and courteous.
What's great about it: Easy to move around in the program to input info based on my needs.
What's not so great: I had some issues with data imported from 2012 tax return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
