Awesome Tax Software!

I was dreading doing my long-form taxes as I do every year. But this year I was able to breeze through them with very little effort. I've been using for over a decade now and I can definitely seem vastly improved the product is. I had absolutely NO issues getting my taxes done and I've never been audited in the entire time I've used Turbo-Tax. Total Awesome!
For the most part, this was a pretty good program. However there were a few area's that had me stressing a bit due to a lack of a "detailed explanation" Most areas were pretty straight forward and had good advice. But there were some under the Business section that just left me with even more questions. For example in the business expense & entertainment, It doesn't explain if you are to add all the meals up in one lump some #i.e. lunches, when there are LOTS!# or list them separately. Some basic things like that, I guess the author of the program overlooked the fact that the average person may not know the very "basic" answers. Because it seems that is where it had its faults. The confusing areas were very understandable and detailed, it was the simple things that someone who perhaps does taxes all the time would take for granted, yet a novice would be cringing trying to decide how exactly to do it.
What's great about it: Was very user friendly
What's not so great: Some areas didn't give detailed enough answers.
Because we couldn't delete the unnecessary state, we were unable to e-file. "Validation failed: There is an update available for your program. Before you can e-file, you’ll need to get this update." Went to update and everything updated fine, but the issue remained. Finally had to print 60 pages and mail our return - not even the federal could be e-filed! I see that other mac users encountered the problem. Rebooting didn't alleviate it.
What's great about it: Typically smooth walk-through of all forms
What's not so great: TT added a state we don't need and we couldn't delete it
This is the second year using Turbo Tax after using a CPA for many years. The CPA had us fill out a bunch of forms and then entered the details into a commercial Turbo Tax. I always thought that this would get the maximum refund and ensure accuracy, but we found errors in the last couple of years we used a CPA. The advantage of Turbo Tax is that I now know and understand every facet of the return and no detail of the tax filing is left out. This has led to significantly more deductions and added piece of mind about the accuracy of my taxes.
What's great about it: It provides clear information on every detail
What's not so great: It takes a whole day to prepare the return
I've been using TurboTax for the last 15 years. It seems to get a little easier each year. However, its still hard to track where everything is getting placed in the IRS documents. If I have to go outside the interview process, I'm totally lost ...and some of the explanations are easy enough to help me. Still I have always felt its worth the money to be able to step through the process.
What's great about it: Interview method makes it fast and less of a hassle
What's not so great: Still hard to understand some of the Learn More explanations
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
