make the complicated easy

software was very easy to work with most of the time and the pull down explanations were excellent. Also the ability to import brokerage information was incredibly easy and a great feature that had to save me 16 hours of inputting time.
Can't imagine another software package delivering such a robust package. As much as I hate doing my taxes, Turbo tax took most of the pain out of that chore.

What's great about it: how the software handled K-1's and rental property

Almost fool proof.

Overall 7.5 in a 10 scale.
Need to be a little smart on extracting last year worksheet info, every year I have to type the same concepts ie: expense of "Magazine and subscriptions", etc. this will save lots of typing for self employed and mid/top professionals.
Needs a better search engine when looking into community for answer to tax situations that apply to you, that will make the confident on the software better.
Transferring from Quicken should be a better wizard with a two columns concept with headings, concepts and breakdown and the chance to adjust the amounts, very use full for self-employed or small business that keep accounting records but have not had time to review and fix the errors that banks or quicken do with auto-classification of the expenses.
What's great about it: Easy to use, fast and provide instant help
What's not so great: Need more real example of situations that apply

Taxes simplified

TurboTax continues to be the application of choice to complete the taxes for our entire family! The Home and Business edition even helps with our family craft business filing information. Thanks again for another smooth year of tax preparation!

Easy as Pie

It is very easy to use, very straightforward, and very linear. Step after step of easy-to-answer questions with details at most one click and pop-up away.
What's great about it: Simple. Fast. Accurate. I got all three.
What's not so great: Despite huge monitor, way too much scrolling

I had to scroll down to the bottom each time I was done with a section. I also think sections could be consolidated.

Necessity for the Self-Employed

TurboTax was recommended to me when I started my business. Now, I recommend it to everyone. It's easy to use and accurate. Transferring the prior tax year's information to the current return makes filing a breeze!

Turbo Tax 2013 is my favorite yet. I really was dreading the process of filing, but this was just ridiculously easy. Like a mother hen was guiding her ignorant little chick along the path of understanding. VERY user-friendly.
What's great about it: Clear Explanations, Fast, Easy Walkthroughs
What's not so great: TurboTax can't help taxes being time consuming
