overall good, questions more challenging

while this program does a great job, every year there are a couple questions that come up about our particular situation. this year, getting those questions answered felt much harder than other years. and no offense to other users, but I don't want advice from the community, I want advice from a tax professional. bring that back, or make it more clear and easier to access, and I'll continue to use this program for years to come!
What's great about it: we've used this program for years, and it continues to be fantastic!
What's not so great: the format for getting questions answered has changed, and not for the better

Overall a good product

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and was surprised to find out that it did not retain critical data about the purchase of listed property used in an investment that I sold and replaced last year. This meant that I had to go back through 10 years of records to find data that had already been entered into the program. The program also struggled to figure out how to deal with the fact that I have multiple rental properties that this vehicle is used to travel for inspections.
Turbo tax is a good program that could be made better.
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to update
What's not so great: Limited data retention
Pros: I had a baby, I bought or sold investments

Been using TT for 22 years

I have been using TT since the IPM junior first came out.
I switched to Home and business in 2006. One year I used a CPA then compared it to H&BTT and got the same result. I have stayed with H&BTT every since.

problem with efile

I love how turbotax helps me by comparing my file to last year and how it keeps my records and supports my state tax returns (I have three states with income). I had a problem with efile and do not think that I did it even though I wnet through what i THOUGHT WERE THE STEPS TO DO IT now i am doing a review and I'm not sure if I am complete

When the program asks for input it would be really helpful if it gave you last years input numbers all the time. Also, when i go to itsdeductable for my contributions to be downloaded the system changes the number by a small amount. I still don't know why it does that. Otherwise Turbotax is easy to use and does an excellent job.

This is the first year I had to pay so much extra...extra for electronic filing, extra for State, extra for upgraded Turbo Tax... It would have been less to use an accountant.
What's great about it: Able to do at home and on one's own time
What's not so great: Cost this year greatly increased
