Turbo Tax Your Life

The best feature is the year to year rollover of personal information and headings from employers and 1099s. The saves a lot of keystrokes...and time.
And because you can attempt to try a tax form with varying information (to see what the effect of a raise or a deduction) it makes tax planning easier.
What's great about it: Straightforward and calculations are always assured
What's not so great: You still have to organize all your receipts and deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Easy yet thorough
What's not so great: a few places it required me to re-enter data already entered

Could have been better

Had 1099 Misc that pertained to rental property income that was non-employment compensation that could not be added there. Low income subsidy for fuel is in need of going to this area.
What's great about it: As usual it was good to use.
What's not so great: Rental Property confusion. Not the best in this area.

2013 Turbo Tax

This product keeps getting better! I recommend it anytime I get a chance.
There was one issue with this version that should be addressed, a fair amount of data did not transfer properly from the federal return to the state return. For example, Brokerage firms addresses didn't transfer. My bank's ID number and address for 1099-INTs did not trransfer. In a few cases zero data (ex. carryovers etc.) did not transfer. This required me to exit the State return several times to go back to the Federal forms to make sure the information I populated on the State form matched.
Love you Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: TT just keeps getting better. I love the ability to download brokerage statements. Saves a ton of time.
What's not so great: When data doesn't populate all forms, it would be nice to have a 'toggle; key to go directly to the information

Turbo Tax is very user friendly. I actually enjoy doing my taxes because of turbo Tax

I LOVE TURBO TAX

I start a folder in January. When it's time to do my taxes I sit down with my folder, my computer, a cup of coffee and my music and 2 hours later my refund is on it's way straight to my bank account !!! I love you Turbo Tax !!
What's great about it: Step by step help ! Home and relaxed ! Just collect all your paper work, fix a cup of coffee and relax !!!!!
What's not so great: NO CONS :)

Bad Local prep

Outside of the local returns, Turbo Tax has been my only way of doing taxes for over 20 years. I would recommend it to anyone.
What's not so great: The program insisted on filling out a return for a city that I worked in for one day.
