Makes the Complex Simple

Retention of prior year data makes it easier to do the current year. Easy to do a return with multiple businesses.
What's great about it: Several Schedule C businesses done easily
What's not so great: Questions in "review" are not easily linked to the area of original input
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Program kept shutting down during preparation. I think there is a compatibility issue with windows 8.1. It never happened before.
What's great about it: Easy to understand

Great tool -- reporting could be better

Great tool, have used it for more than 10 years now. Very easy to use.
Would like to see better reporting functionality (similar to what I have in Quicken) to compare income, expenses, taxes, etc year to year.

What's great about it: Allows you to either walk through each step, or pick and choose how you want to enter your information
What's not so great: Corrections found after error review. Poor reporting year to year.

Terrific Software

Overall, it's a great software. I did not see the record more than 2 years. I saw that feature last year. It kept the record for 5 years for comparison.
What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: Provide more examples

Use it every year

I have used TurboTax for 5 years now and it really simplifies the laborious task of preparing my daughter, son and my wife and my taxes. To start with i took my tax filings i had the 2 prior years with my accountant, and compared with what i got out of TurboTax and they were almost identical. That alone gave me the confidence to use TurboTax from now on, since i had some strange deducations in there at the time and TurboTax found them all.
What's great about it: Ease of use, complete list of deduction topics
What's not so great: Cost to e-file State

Turbo Tax Home & Business

I used this program when it was only offered to Tax Professionals, early 80's. I no longer prepare tax returns for a living, but still continue to use your product. It's Great, but this year it wanted to do some strange things;
1. It told me I had a farm. It wanted income and expenses. I have know idea where that came from. I have never owed a farm, the closest I have come is mowing my lawn. I had to delete the form several times..
2. Next it told me I was part owner in an LLC, and wanted K-1 info. That form was also deleted.
It also asked me redundant questions.
In conclusion, this is a great program, but the average preparer has to be cognizant and aware.
What's great about it: Good program, very complete.
