Overall the product is informative, intuitive and easy to navigate.
I used to do returns by hand until I became a loyal Turbo Tax user in 2008. I like all product features.

I said above about "States" that a particular individual may not need but if opened it stays. I can delete schedules or ignore the information as an approach. I do returns for others which represent different states than I use.
What's great about it: The software is intuitive and easy to navigate. I like switching between steps and forms to see where data is going.
What's not so great: When you have multiple states because you are doing a few returns sometimes a state you don't want for yourself shows.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Example of CON...when looking for section 179 info, refer to what line the info would be found on. A better interface in that manner would be GREAT

What's not so great: wish it would refer yu to specific lines on various forms when looking for last years info

Could be better

Generally it's good soft wear and have used it for years. But with worsening sight it is very difficult to see the color combinations used, e.g. white on blue, red on black, grey text on white background, non-saturated colors etc. I used the program to enlarge the text but that did not enlarge it enough. Would be good if the softwear filled the entire screen. All text needs higher contrast. With an aging population, I don't think I am the only one with this problem. It would probably be a good idea to consult with sight experts on changes for the sight impaired.
What's great about it: Transferring info.
What's not so great: Softwear not sight impaired friendly.

Gets Easier to use Every Year.

As much as I dread this process every year, Turbo Tax continues to make it easier and gave me credits for things I hadn't considered. I used to use a tax specialist, but since I have to compile everything anyway, it's just easier to go through and do it myself. Plus it allows me to save and come back to the process - helpful in that I usually need to reflect on entries before filing.
What's great about it: Easy to use; walked me through everything, including things I hadn't thought of
What's not so great: Was updating software until the day I filed.

Great unless I have questions

The generic question format is not always helpful. My taxes are tricky, and my questions are business related healthcare type questions. It's tough to even figure out how to get the question answered on your website in the format you provide. Customer Service? haha That means I get a generic website.
What's great about it: Super easy to use
