Needs Improvement

This program has some problems---it needs to be more streamlined so that you can back to any section and NOT have to re-enter every piece of information in the section
It also needs to be possible to print any page you are looking at--some pages have useful information that can help you keep track of figures for different sections of the program. But you cannot do this..you can only print forms
Also, for some reason, the program would not update when I changed a number--it kept the same taxes due when it should have updated.
What's great about it: It' easy to follow
What's not so great: It needs a lot improvement to make it more efficient and fast

Ready Refund

Started taxes later than normal. Was really anxious as I downloaded and accessed the software.
Once I began my taxes the actual process was a breeze!
Note: It helps to be organized and have your records readily accessible. Record keeping is a must no matter what you use or who you rely on for tax service.
What's great about it: Really user friendly and easy to follow
What's not so great: No problems what soeverf

No Hassle!!!

I realize that all the questions you need to answer are important so the program can help you get the biggest refund. But it can be so tedious. That is taxes.
What's great about it: Like the yearly comparison
What's not so great: Lot's of questions.

This is my first time with TurboTax...I will never go back to paying tax preparation services ever.

What a disaster!

I efiled both Fed & State. Fed was rejected. TT did not have an easy path that I could find. I upgraded TT to Home & Business. Corrected the mistake. BUT, TT had FORGOTTEN many of my charitable donations, points paid on mortgage refi, lots of stuff. I had to go back and re-enter. This was hard to do because TT changed all copies of my return! My advice: make clones of your return, often. Print pdf's, often. Write down everything you enter, in case TT forgets it and you have to do it all again. After I re-entered, TT wanted to charge me again to efile the state. So I said, do the state later. I pressed the button to refile the fed. TT CRASHED during refile!!! I restarted TT: It was back to an older data set, and had FORGOTTEN many entries AGAIN -- even though I had pressed Control-S (Save) often. Luckily, I had a backup on Mac Time Machine, so I didn't have to re-enter yet again. I restored from Time Machine, checked everything, and efiled fed again. This time it worked!!! What will happen with my State efiled return?? The numbers will not agree. Do I have to refile State, or file an amended return??
What's great about it: Easy to start with
What's not so great: TT kept changing results, forgetting what I entered. Disaster!

Works great! Very quick and easy filing with Turbo Tax. Just have your information ready and answer questions and your return is completed.
What's great about it: Fast!
What's not so great: Compute with IRA deduction button
