Thank you. Good work anyway despite the cons. Much better than earlier use and am thankful for the knowledge I gain each year in using the product.
What's great about it: Regular updates done by TT; Fed gov too slow on forms; financial service co. not ready with statements by Jan 31
What's not so great: TurboTax did not allow for pre-pay of estimated tax from refund for person changing career
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

I've been using Turbo Tax for at least 5 years, and it is simple, as long as I remember to read! Sometimes I get in an even bigger hurry and don't read all the information...it always lets me know, one way or another. Almost as if someone is sitting here with me.
What's great about it: I love the way it checks, analyzes, and checks again!
What's not so great: nothing

we have used TT for MANY years. This year it would error asking for an update while trying to submit electronic file. All updates were installed - I was stuck in a circle. Being a computer dude, I uninstalled software and reinstalled - updated and then it worked.
Additionally, going to website found when Google "TurboTax" -https://myturbotax.intuit.com/ - would not log in. Many attempts with no success.....very disappointed!!! Finally got in by using my promo CD and click reinstall, then log in at that screen.

What's great about it: continues to be a great product

I've used the program several years and basically like it and feel is does a good job. There are a few areas where it asks a question and then adds details in the choice of either the yes or no answer. In at least one area, the details of the answer choices turn it into an entirely different question. It also assumes that volunteer mileage will simply be the number of trips to one specific location. If the volunteer mileage is actually a variety of locations, there doesn't appear a way to enter that without listing every single location.
What's great about it: most area very complete and easy to understand
What's not so great: some areas contained assumptions and didn't allow choices

Used TurboTax several years for home and business. Always thorough yet simple to follow. Like the upload of data from previous year and side-by-side comparison of current year and previous year.

Good except for Gold

Once again Turbo Tax has come through. The only knock is the way that TD Ameritrade and the program don't like SPDR Gold ETFs.
What's great about it: Simple and thorough interface

The only issue I have with Turbo Tax is that they charge to E file a state return.
What's great about it: The step by step walk thru is perfect
What's not so great: I cannot efile 1 state for free
