less expensive, similar results

found it to be reasonably easy to navigate. results were satisfactory. not unexpected or grander returns than expected.
What's great about it: easy of use
What's not so great: clarity of some steps.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's like stepping back in time

I signed up for the online version and after about 3 hours and 15 crashes I wish I had not. There is no easy was to move between sections and to get to specific portions of your return. Most of the time the website would just spin and I would need to open a new window and log back in. One time I was prompted with an error message that said the server was going down for maintenance and all the data I had entered went missing for about 12 hours. It felt as if it was being restored from a tape drive. I have used Quicken for 20 years and Turbotax for the last 4 or 5. I can't help but feel there is so much technology debt in both products that they can never be snappy modern day applications. At least the support person was helpful after I waited for about 40 minutes to get to her.
What's great about it: I finally made it
What's not so great: Website crashed repeatedly

Turbo Tax - USE IT-BE RIGHT

Do it right, easy, quickly and correctly.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax asks all the question one needs to know to process their year end taxes. Easy, consise, to be the point,
What's not so great: Nothing really - does everything well

The section regarding 1099's with respect to subcontractors was a LOT easier to do this year as opposed to Turbo Tax 2012.

Less stress refund

I have used turbo tax for over 8 years and wouldn't use anything else. I have also turned my family into turbo taxers . The ease and clarity of the turbo tax has made it easy for me to file my business and personal all in one program.
This was the first year i had to get help from a rep, He was so helpful and help to put my mind at ease.

TurboTax has an extensive help menu, even sending you to the form instructions at the IRS if needed.
What's great about it: Search site on questions

the major program body works well. But the instuctions pages when accessed leads to program crashing. very annoying.
