I was extremely surprised I had to buy an upgraded product when filing online to maintain my small business with no 1099. This had not been the case in the past. The other issue was having to type in the descriptions in the expenses for the small business. There are typical expenses such as phone and office supplies that have always been there just to fill in the number. This time I had to type the descriptions in. Not good!
What's great about it: was able to import last years return
What's not so great: had to buy the upgrade to use the small business

I have used TurboTax Home and Business for years and love it. Walks me through every deduction and every income so that I'm confident I am not missing anything.
Like that it reviews the file and gives me the opportunity to correct hazy areas that might call too much attention and necessitate an audit.

Very straightforward

I always use it. I feel I know enough to get around minor shortcomings.
I still type the data into Turbo Tax even though I will then send it to an accountant for final review and some tweaks.
What's great about it: Took all the data in sequence
What's not so great: Was not clear where to enter 401K contribution

This years turbo tax seemed to be a lot easier to understand while completing the questions.
What's great about it: I really liked the ease of preparing my returns and having the confidence of knowing they are done correctly.
What's not so great: Can't think of anything

Excellent software by Turbo Tax

I was able to file my 2013 claim with ease. The system does the calculating for you. All you have to do is fill in the numbers, read carefully, and review carefully. If you have any questions, the system has the answers in place. I loved it. I will be using it again for future filing of my taxes. Very happy customer.
What's great about it: Easy and simple way to do taxes. System is set up to do the calculations for you. All you have to do is put in info.
What's not so great: No cons.

Tricky year!

Overall good experience.
Used the online help to solve the credit card forgiveness process. This was not done well within the program.
What's great about it: Handled credit card debt forgiveness well
What's not so great: Was not guided to check for insolvency to avoid cancelled debt tax

Turbo Taxed Again!

I've been using turbo tax for the last 8 years. My husband has a job and a side business. Turbo Tax makes it easy to file our taxes with home and business. Haven't had any issues with it or our filings.
What's great about it: Easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
