Asking for help on line brings up most answers that have no relation to my questions. If TurboTax does not include a form I need in many cases I am unable to include it in my tax filing.
I had an issue addressing a specific error that turbotax identified and worked on line with a TurboTax expert for over 2 hours to resolve the issue. We succeeded and I applaud the person's patience and tenacity in getting to the bottom of a complex issue.
What's great about it: working through the detailed questions and ability to pause and return later after a rest
What's not so great: not quite fully understanding the flow of the tax forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments
As I said above, it would be really helpful to have a print out of the questions in advance - such as the business expense categories. Also, at the end when I am reviewing each category, it would be helpful if the computer could return to the place last checked, instead of always having to scroll down each time to get to the next place to look at. And if there were a place to enter which category one needs to return to, it would be helpful. I kept trying to find the place where my tax preparation fees were to be entered to add something and it took a long while to find it.
What's great about it: I like the ease of working through the return. Each year it gets a little easier.
What's not so great: I wish there were a print out of the questionaire. Categories of business expenses would help.
