For some reason it kept asking me about 'Farm Income'! I've never had a farm. I looked back to see if I had mistakenly clicked 'Farm Income' at some point. It's a mystery to me!
What's great about it: Logical and detailed yet easy to follow! Hard to mess up!

It seems as though the program is less transparent--in other words, it's harder to follow what's happening and the help sections are not as helpful as they were in the past.
What's not so great: It's become harder over the years to find where the calculated numbers are being generated
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easier to use this year. one suggestion - if there is a way to prepare the return individually and then jointly to see what is best, it would be most helpful

Have been using Turbotax for many years, now, and I have come to rely on its flexibility and reliability for users who have complex Schedule C returns.
What's great about it: Clean interface; examples, etc.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use, excellent software. All you have to do is answer one question at a time.
What's great about it: Easy to use- even for home business. Don;t waste your money on expensive tax-preprarers
What's not so great: Just tkaes time to go through all the questions - but Turbo Tax is very thorough

I had a problem with the home office deduction. When I was going through the step-by-step but it didn't ask me for the details such as property tax paid, utilities, etc. Even the new standard deduction was higher than the amount Turbo Tax came up with. I had to go back through it again to add those items.

I seem to have more trouble this year than in previous years using TurboTax. Errors were difficult to correct and hard to relate the cause.
What's great about it: Guide through
What's not so great: Real problem understanding errors and corrections
