I found this year's edition much easier to use, the format and order of the questions made it a lot easier to review my records and enter the information. Help screens were more concise and easier to understand. It still stings to pay taxes but filling out the return was almost painless.
What's great about it: The Interview Format was much more easy to use this year
I have used TurboTax for many years and it allows me to understand the mountain of tax laws and navigate through my Federal and State returns in a straight forward language that humans speak. Dropping the "Lawyer-Tax Lingo".
What's great about it: Really simple to understand my taxes.
What's not so great: Still has some "TAX" lingo that needs to be interpreted into (non-lawyer)!
If you have to make a change, it is almost impossible to find the area to change. Also when you go back and review you have to put the info back into the system.
What's not so great: It is hard to go back and check or update a record.
The HSA sections assumes you have a 1099-HSA. If you didn't use the HSA all year, you do not get a 1099. But Turbo Tax requires that you complete one... Not good.
