easier every year

I have used this software for at least 8 years and it gets easier and faster every year. I like that it saves your previous year and then uses that information as a guide. I would definitely recommend it to most everyone.
What's great about it: helpful guidance and quick access to irs
What's not so great: I was unable to edit one number in the step by step process, but I solved the problem by going to the forms.

GO TURBO

I like to send in the Oregon Return via mail. When I print out the Oregon return, I notice that it does not print out where I want the refund deposited. I double checked my federal return, the account number is printed on the federal return. The account number has clearly been inputed on Turbo Tax.
There should be a way to just print the state return without having to print the federal return too.
When the return is reviewed and there are corrections to be made, can it be more specific?
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use. I like that it downloads vital info from previous year.
What's not so great: Some parts of the Oregon State Return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: Always reliable and user-friendly. Have used it for many years and many situations, including recent self-employment.
What's not so great: A little confusing on the home-office issues and chnages in effect this year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I love Turbo Tax - makes filing easy. Cheaper than hiring a tax person, but the e-file fees - simplistic. accurate. fun.
What's great about it: quick, easy, accurate

Business use of home deduction not explained well.
Just "do not qualify" with no explanation as to how to work around this nonsense.
The new simple way is a farce if you have a real business.
The e-file was a huge problems this year, it would NOT validate .
It took 5 days of trying and down loading updates over and over and then finally after printing everything for mailing, I tried one more time and amazingly, it went through.

Just a touch more user friendly, please!

I have been using TurboTax for at least 10 years. It makes the whole process pretty simple.
However, I would really like it if, when switching back and forth from the interview to the forms, when in the forms, I would like to be given the option of going to the interview section that relates to the form I am looking at. I sometimes get lost or forget what I put in where, and need to know how I responded to the interview questions. It would be helpful to be able to go back to that topic.
What's great about it: Great transferring and importing of information.
What's not so great: Have to answer the same informational questions over and over - it does not seem to save the answers! Frustrating.

Was easy and simple, did not need the one with business, but waited to late on buy mine. Will do early next year.

I would like a feature that allows me to enter my available info at the start - ie mortgage interest paid, vehicle taxes etc of that ilk.
What's great about it: Good walk through
What's not so great: Takes more time with too many individual questions
