Tax return filed!!!!.

Will continue to file with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to follow steps.
What's not so great: No cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The inadvertent checking of a incorrect box led to miscelaneous income being reported in the wrong place and for some reason two of the same forms were completed. It took me four hours to figure out the problem and correct it. I still don't know why two forms were completed so I just deleted one of the forms.
What's great about it: Going through the step by step filling is simple and easy.
What's not so great: It is difficult to figure out where mistakes have been made.

This year is terrible!!~!! I can't get to my state tax forms to print and mail them in. I'm NOT paying for the forms and then you charge to e-file the state!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm changing next year to another tax prep method, NOT TURBO TAX!!!!!

still issues with turbo tax

Cannot trust turbo tax to be correct!
Federal pension retirement pay is not working for Oregon tax return.
Which made me go over each form, each entry, hand calc all amounts...say isn't that what you do when you file without turbo tax.
What's great about it: found medicial duduction for Oregon that I was not aware of.
What's not so great: major error on Oregon state tax!

I've been using Turbotax from nearly the beginning of electronic filing. Excellent product, easy to use, just pull your documents together and it walks you through everything! I am very satisfied with the service and the product.
What's great about it: Walks you through...so easy a caveman can do it!
What's not so great: None.

Dynamic Duo: TurboTax and Quicken

Thanks to the combined capabilities of these two products, my refund was maximized and I am confident in the data submitted.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate, make corrections and changes, covers all the bases
What's not so great: Took me 2 years to learn how to access Schedule F in Quicken Rental property manager

I would like a way to document the numbers that I put into the return. Notes> A section for each line where I can put a note for that Item. For Example: I have a deduction for $100 for a charity. I would write in my notes "See Salvation Army receipt for $100 dated xx/xx/xxxx" Please add notes to your program.

They try to have the latest info so I am comfortable with the info. Well written software and instructions.
What's great about it: Trusted, easy to install, reviews the forms and explains what needs to be entered
What's not so great: A bit confusing to efile Fed and mail the State return
