Great Experience

Illinois software had pages requiring input that really was already available from previous page inputs. This caused me confusion and required detail review of individual forms. The Alabama software did not specifically ask questions related to income that was not taxable in Alabama
What's great about it: Federal Return Software was great
What's not so great: Illinois and Alabama state software needs some work.

I have been using Turbotax for more than 10 years and I recommend it. I think it provides more control than I would have with an online program. Import from previous years and financial institutions is easy. The help features are generally good. There are occasional obstacles where it takes time to find ways to proceed, but the help features are good and the program becomes easier to use each year.
What's great about it: I've gotten used to it.
What's not so great: Complex, but not so much as the tax code. Improving with time.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy and convenience.
What's great about it: Cool explanation and attached examples.
What's not so great: Not enough examples of cover/not-cover items

Overall, using TurboTax was easier this year than in past years. I'll use it again next year!
What's great about it: simple for everything except (see below)
What's not so great: why is foreign tax so difficult this year if you want a credit rather than a deduction?

17 Years with Turbo Tax

Every year this product keeps getting better.
I was a little surprised when I tried to claim my sales tax for big purchases and it told me that the forms hadn't been updated yet. So I had to tell it to update even though I just installed and updated the same day.
