im happy i upgraded from deluxe to home/business, made life much better with no limitations, overall a great experience, at a time that everybody dreads, couldnt have gone any smoother, thnx mike s.
What's great about it: overall ,couldnt be any easier
What's not so great: just pay attention in business income/exp., i added income=bad

I have used this and other Intuit products for more than 20 years. Great stuff, easy to use, and record keeping is reliable
What's great about it: Easy to use, faster and faster every year
What's not so great: I hate doing taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Make the Colorado state software easier to use!
What's great about it: Takes you through each step with questions
What's not so great: Colorado state software not easy to use Need to take u thru adjustments step by step Ihad to figure out a lot on my own

Go Slowly

TurboTax allows the user to work in small increments of time, preserving and checking as one progresses.
I our particular case - Home & Business filers - one of our computers that contained almost all of our financial information was without-notice from our bank, no longer supported by its access software. Which required an 11th hour move of the existing 2013 TurboTax software and related state & federal files to a new, secure computer.
However, this was easily accomplished within a few hours and both e-filings were made ahead of the government deadlines!
What's great about it: You must trust TurboTax and not substitute your logic for theirs
What's not so great: Preparation & Filing Your Taxes generally takes hours of your time
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Product

Great product and I love being able to track the changes in tax rules each year. I just wish the online version and software products could be the same as I have several years of online only and then the past 2 with the software. Wish there was a place online where all my returns can be stored.
What's great about it: Easy to Use; Very Detailed
What's not so great: Don't like the disconnect between software and online products

2014 Taxes

Not as user friendly for me this year compared to past few years. The 'Review' included an entry on my state return for Michigan that I over-stated my estimated payments...if I did, it's news to me.
What's great about it: Step-By-Step Process
What's not so great: Changes made to the process this year made it much more difficult to follow and find errors. i.e. MI-1045 not available

Improvements

It would be nice if the software kept your place that you are at when you leave or quit the software. Now when you quit the software opens up at the beginng again. The software needs to be more flexible in moving arround from one area to another. Like opening forms and then going back to the regular program. Also if you are filing in Texas and do not have state income tax the software should know this and allow you to avoid the questions. If you have a tax filing in another state that does have state taxes the software should figure that out.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: It does not start and stop at same point when quit.
