There is something wrong with the K-1 filing. It won't let me override an entry.

Great Way to File your Taxes

I use to hire an account to file my taxes, so a couple of years ago, I still let him complete my taxes, but I completed a TurboTax form to see how close we were. Other than the depreciation method we were right on. So from then on I don't and won't use any other method. GREAT PROGRAM!!!
What's great about it: After gathering the required information, this is a Great Program
What's not so great: None

I had a difficult return this year with the addition of college, investment property, SSD. But I believe we made it through ok.
What's great about it: As always Turbo Tax makes it easy to follow, even in some difficult situations that DIY's find difficult.
What's not so great: There were a couple of things that I was not clear on, asking on TT Community helped, but there were two question no one
Pros: I bought or sold investments

My 2013 TurboTax experience

Usually, I do my Fed and CA state returns via TurboTax. I use the information from the Fed return to enter onto my PA state returns through the PA online system. I got so twisted around this year with my PA state return that I ended up purchase the PA state package end let TurboTax do the work. Many hours of frustration avoided.
What's great about it: Simplified my PA state return
What's not so great: Not much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I use Turbo tax year after year. It easy and user friendly. I did however find a couple of mistakes that the program missed.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: not confident about the reviews

I use this program every year. I really like the step-by-step of doing the taxes. It jogs my memory of things I might have forgotten to include in my records.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2013 Tax Filing

Last year, I was shown all the transactions from my investments and could easily see what was being used to produce my return. This year, that did not seem to be the case. I liked seeing what had been transferred.
What's great about it: Easystep and E-Filing
What's not so great: Did not seem to give me as much information about investment capital gains/losses as last year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy to Use

K1's issued to a Sole proprietor LLC show as an entry in the business income question but never actually asks for K1 entry in business segment only when you get to individual. This results in that income not being part of business Income?? Otherwise everything is wonderfully straight forward including handling of several retirement and other K1 documents
What's great about it: this years program was simple and easy to use both Home and Office and Business Versions
What's not so great: K1 received for LLC still confusing
