Program Error -

Everything worked well. HOWEVER, TurboTax filed an alternative return that I was evaluating WITHOUT my telling it to SEND.
This is a major problem!
I went through the program to just before hitting SEND. Then saved the file and loaded another alternative file, selected it as the better option, hit SEND and got a message that a return with the same SS# had already been filed. Further checking showed the other alternative had been sent and accepted.
NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER

Tax Filing is A Breeze!

I've been using Turbo Tax since it first came out in the mid-80's. I love how it brings everything forward to the new year. Our return is pretty complicated and Turbo Tax makes it easy to complete.
What's great about it: Easy to use, comprehensive, good help

Don't know what I would do without it anymore. Rechecks everything I do. So user friendly. Very happy with Turbo tax.

You have a great product. I am sure I am only using a small part of the programs total capabilities.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax walks through all the appropriate quesitons and gets the job done.
What's not so great: I cannot see how to remove or change vehicles previously owned without the return numbers greatly fluctuating.

My taxes are somewhat complex because of specific kind of home business that can have some additional deductions. Turbo tax is great if it's simple, or you've done taxes before and know what you need to do. If you're not sure what you're doing, and your return is complex, this is not a great program. You'd be better of going to a service. Because I used to do taxes professionally, and know what I need to do, I know how to use the program and found it easy.
What's great about it: easy to use if you know what you're doing
What's not so great: nickle and dime you for every thing, state is free, unless you want to file electronically, then suddnely it's not

Easily put together my refund

I like not having to spend twice as much to go to an accountant to file my Personal and Business Taxes. Like keeping the $$$ in my pocket. Easy to use and I love being able to E-File both Federal & State taxes.
What's great about it: Like being able to put together the files without the Step by Step.
What's not so great: Entering payment info twice. Should have one check out for all payments on items.

I have problems every year with marking things for our son. He is an adult who became 100 % blind and I do not understand the disability rules or the rules for a long term disability policy paid by his former employer.
What's great about it: easy to do
What's not so great: need more information on disability and long term insurance
