Turbotax home and business 2013

Once again, I am disappointed that depletion allowance for oil and gas is not automatically calculated like other processes are in TurboTax Home and Business. That problem needs to be addressed. Also, I was unable to pay for eFile for my state return....I kept getting an error message, forcing me to do so on the telephone. On the phone, the automated system indicated it would be a ONE minute wait, which quickly turned into a TWENTY minute delay. Then, the nice young lady had difficulty processing my purchase for state eFile.
I have used turbo tax for many of many years and I truly like the convenience of taking my time and working with the guidance module they have. Reference boxes to explain exactly what the IRS is looking for are a God Send. I don't know how many times I thought "Oh they must want this" just to check the reference box to find out it was something totally different. I tell everyone that I have used this product for years and it is easy.
I've been very happy with turbo tax since 2008. I really love that my previous years information downloads to my current year taxes, making it all the more easy. Thank you Turbo Tax.
I have experience and read online IRS instruction forms so that I know how to enter the information by line and form, but Turbo tax doesn't always allow you to enter where the IRS instructions tell you to. Not all "help" links go where they should.
The product isn't something I will bother using again. 1) Can't increase font size on screen 2) the validation checks want me to answer questions with no context. i.e. Renter's credit yes? no? How the heck do I know that that question means without looking at the page it is from? 3) the filing went south and you do NOT provide an easy way to contact a PERSON. I had to look the number up online. Obviously you don't want people calling you for help, but tough, THAT is what you are SUPPOSED to do to support the product!
I've been using turbotax for a number of years now, and find it very convenient and helpful for the most part. However, occasionally, if one encounters special situations (for example, the death of a parent), one needs to know what to ask or to file, and turbotax is sometimes not sophisticated enough to advise. I also find that the cost of turbotax has increased steadily!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
