Easy to Use

It was good. The real test will be for next year in dealing with the Affordable Care Act. I am a member of a Christian health care sharing ministry and will hope that I will be able to easily navigate this Turbo Tax software in that regard.
What's great about it: Easy to read category structure
What's not so great: Could'nt find any this year but next year I will be looking for exemption for being in a health care sharing ministry.

Been doing Turbo Tax for 20 years, love it! Everything from the previous year except for this year's filing information transfers over, making it easy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy and Dependable

Turbotax beats hiring a tax consultant for our situation, hands down. The import function is a snap, but it was not clear what information (form ID's and values) went where. Not absolutely confident that the info was complete and what was reported, although I'm assuming it is somewhere in the 150+ pages of records.
What's great about it: with all the papers at hand, TurboTax gets all the info in the right place, and right calculations
What's not so great: not easy to find what went into the calculations. Still an interesting job to match up with what came in the mail

Saved the Day

Wish the 1040EZ form was made available with all TurboTax modules. Ofentimes Taxpayers also have family members in their household who don't require the long tax form.
I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and truly believe that it had created great savings for many familes.
What's great about it: Speedy processing enables taxpayer to know if a payment is due.
What's not so great: I have a home business to account for, however I also have family members who need the short tax form.

Taking care of business

I've been using TurboTax home and business for several years. I found it easy to use from the start. It actually helped me learn more about the whole tax medium. Toggling back and forth between forms and easy step is a breeze. I found it to be a very stable software to use with my mac. I am not a tax specialist, so once in a while I have to ponder things a little longer when going in depth into a subject, it would be helpful to have more explanation line by line in error check. Just part of the learning curve for our super-complex tax codes.
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to follow
What's not so great: Could use more instruction/explanation in certain areas of error check

Not so friendly

Wow, not so enjoyable this year. Program wanted to bring forward last year's Section 179 deductions (only valid last year). The Montana non-resident return didn't want to give filing status options, and when manually changed, did not allocate deductions accordingly. Program didn't listen as to which spouse had the MT income, and didn't offer a filing status as to states. Found it anyway. Allocated "married filing separately" deductions totally wrong. (All to one person) If I didn't already know what I was doing, and have last years' returns to review, I'd have been lost. THEN... when I went to file.... Wouldn't let me till I had paid and then let me know I could paper file or I had to enter every single one of the hundred 1099's, as the program wouldn't allow "All 1099's combined." Really???? And I had to enter my personal mileage info in the business section although I keep complete records of the business mileage, but no records of my personal life driving. Kinda hated the experience this year. Either had to make stuff up or find unnecessary detail. I feel like I got a gremlin infected copy... makes me dread next year.
What's great about it: Great as to the easy stuff
What's not so great: Self employment area not friendly this year. Montana non-resident tax return especially not guided well

A Walk in the Park

I have now used Turbo Tax for six or seven years and have never had a problem with my taxes. The format of simply answering questions makes the effort of getting the data into the system so very easy.
What's great about it: Easy to enter data, carried data from last years returns, logical progression of questions.
What's not so great: Can't think of any. Maybe the cost should be lower?
