Some things to improve

I've been using Turbo Tax now for about 10 years and I will continue to use it. I find it to be very user friendly and complete. Here are just two areas that need improvement:
I started the Education Credit part of Turbo Tax and then had to leave it before completing. When I went back to complete I found that I could not get the program to allow me to change my input / start over on the 1098-T input. After researching comments in this regard, I found that many others had the same problem. The only way to correct the situation was to delete my son in the first step and start over. This needs to be fixed - very frustrating. Second, Trusts are very common now days, it would be nice if my Home and Business version included form 1041 and Schedule D 1041.

many changes I'd never dealt with last year, unemployment, selling stocks, death of a parent and estate issues--turbo tax asked all the right questions and gave me confidence my return was spot on! Many Thanks!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Been using Turbo Tax since you first came out.. Love it , or I still wouldn't bne using it, although the $$$$ have almost doubled. Thanks, it worked great.

Far from perfect, could be much better

I have not used any other tax software so I can't compare. I repeated my 2010 returns after a professional did them for me and found some of their errors, other wise the returns agreed.
Personally I find it a toss up, pay a professional whom isn't familiar with your situations, or do it yourself and be stumped with a lot of the questions that come up.
However I find many places where items could be explained much better. And some places where you have to do some calculations by hand.
