Two businesses and our personal taxes DONE!!!

I have used Turbotax since 2002 and I have had great results on a whole. I did get surprised with a tax bill in 2008 but it worked out to be incorrect--the IRS made a mistake!
I feel confident when I send in my taxes that they are done correctly- First time , every time!

What's great about it: All the deductions are listed making it easy to get the most refund due you!
What's not so great: some explanations are a little unclear .

Great Exprience

I have used Turbo Tax for five years and have found it to be very useful. It has saved me time and money in doing my taxes vs. another company.
What's great about it: The return forms were easy to complete.
What's not so great: None

Have the last ck for updates prior to Transmit. Because updates kick you out, then you have to go through banking screens again. Yes, it kept most info - but a bit of concern - will it hit my bank acct up twice because I had to agree all over again.
Also, I answered q. about 1099R retirement being inherited. When NYS return prtd, it said no inherited. I went back to the input screens and a couple things I ck'd the first time through, were no longer checked. Eaten by computer heaven.
What's great about it: Copies all of last year's tax info. Downloads from investment firms. Yeh!
What's not so great: All the way at the end, clicked transmit, then it would not transmit w/o ckg for updates,

The program is complete, lead me through completion of a complicated return. I'll continue to use it again next year!

Checking Account Numbers

The numbers have to be transmitted, but not printed.
What's not so great: The conplete Checking/Saving/Routing number should not be printed on any forms. Only the last XXXXX

Trouble correcting my mistakes

I am not the sharpest tack in the box....
I tried to correct my mistakes on form 8283 with over-ride (no way). Then tried to go back and correct at point of input,( little luck) but couldn't find all places to make all the corrections. It would have been nice to have a link from form 8283 back to input point for each block. I just sent the taxes with the remaining mistakes. Next year I'll have to be more careful at point of input.
