Great Product Again

Overall an excellent product that we have used for over 5 years. It guided us through the many changes to our personal financial situation that occurred during the last year as retirees We will continue using TurboTax in the coming years and will recommend it to others.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow and enter information.
What's not so great: Assumption that we remembered all we had done in prior years.

Sigh of Relief
on April 4, 2014

We switched to TurboTax five years ago. Now, instead of lugging records and receipts to the accountant and nervously waiting the outcome, I have taken control. I know TurboTax will give me the latest information and guide me each step of the way. That's a huge relief - and a learning experience too.
What's great about it: TurboTax simplifies the complexity of 'doing' taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax from the ninety's. I've watched it progress into the dynamic program that it is today. I wouldn't do my taxes any other way.
What's great about it: Lead me by the hand
What's not so great: Not sure why somethings were done but trust rules

Easier than I though

I was so worried...with a home based business but Turbo tax walked me right through it. Asking questions our tax consultant in the past never asked. It was a little time consuming this time but now I know what I'll need next time. We did much better with our refund than last year. Will use this again next year.
What's great about it: Walked me through it
What's not so great: Time consuming the first time.

I have been using Turbotax for ten years. Great!!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is very comprehensive. It asks you detailed questions and I feel that I am not missing anything when using it
What's not so great: Sometimes information from one year to another does not carry over.

Wisconsin form
on April 4, 2014

Wisconsin. You are allowed to enter an incorrect number in the question "Did you have any capital gains from sales of farm assets." The program does not give you an error message unless you go forward one question and then come back. However it did catch the error in the State error checker. Once I corrected the error, the form showing my State and Federal return did not update, therefore the numbers shown for the tax refund was one number in the box at the top of the program and a different number on the summary page.
What's not so great: Wisconsin: Program accepts any number in the question "Did you have any capital gains from sale of farm assets.
