I've used Turbo Tax for years. Every year it is better. The program asks all the right questions, has plenty of resources, and takes away all the reading and interpreting of IRS instructions that would have been necessary. It also covers possibilities that I might not have been aware of. There are no appointments to make and no travel. I can work on my taxes 24/7 in the leisure of my own home, save it mid-stream if I am tired or need to wait on any information/forms,, and return to it when ready to continue. Filing online is great.
What's great about it: Auto transfer of prior information, included all the necessary forms for my situation, confident of accuracy
What's not so great: wish it would tell me why certain schedules are used or not used, and why.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Couple of Difficulties Amongst a Great Experience

Experienced major printing problems:
1. Memory Overloads with very reliable printer (HP Laser 4P)
2. Tiling of page image enlargements (X 8 ) starting at page
17 ; repeated error several times to confirm.

What's great about it: Absolutely an Successful Filing - But See Cons also
What's not so great: Difficulties (1) entering email address & (2) Printing Returns

Love the auto check

Wanted to see the total Itemized Deductions details to compare with the Standard Deduction.
What's great about it: Awesome!!
What's not so great: Itemized Items aren't in the same summary section to view like the actual Schedule A

I've used for probably 8 years in a row, so guess I would say I like it.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Sometimes need more detail than what I can find in help

I see something on a particular screen, it needs some thing. I set a flag,go find what i need, but I can never find that particular screen again. why cant flags be attached to a particular screen so we can make a fix efficiently

Excellent with few flaws

Turbotax Home & Business doesn't handle vehicle expenses when the same vehicle is used for 2 or more businesses. Also, when a vehcile is traded in, it doesn't handle a like-kind exchange correctly when the vehicle(s) are used less than 100% business.
There should be an export feature to export the tax return in a format that will transfer correctly to Turbotax professional. Some information did not transfer when I took the file to an accountant for help. Not sure if the incompatibility was from Mac to PC or Turbotax Home/Business to Professional. Or both.
