I have been using Turbot for several years. It still pretty easy. My question is "your updates forms, etc. even if I have sent the Forms, what will happen if it makes a major change after accepted."
What's great about it: easy - no problems
What's not so great: taxes stresses me -- all that reading
Cannot say enough good things about TurboTax, I have had some complicated returns, but TurboTax has walked me through all the steps. Would not be without it! Love the ability to import data from financial institutions,. Saves a lot of typing and opportunity for errors.
What's great about it: So easy. Asks all the important questions. Carries past year's info into current year's return.
What's not so great: None that I have found in years of using TurboTax
I have used a TurboTax product for 14 years. The last few years I have used Home and Business. Although I have prepared my tax forms all my life, I still like to be prompted. TurboTax does this in a friendly intuitive manner. The information or help pop-ups are well written and easy to understand.
The only reason I didn't rate TurboTax 2013 5 stars is because the transfer from a previous year function didn't work properly. I find it useful when reviewing section totals to be able to check back to the previous year to see if I may have omitted anything. I wasn't able to do this, this year.
I totally trust TurboTax's accuracy. A fine product. I will order again next year.
What's great about it: TurboTax Home and Business 2013 is even more user friendly and intuitive than previous versions.
What's not so great: Transfer from a previous year didn't work correclty.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
Example; Asked for a new W-2 form before having me complete the new data on the form transferred fwd from prior year. Silly - I've used Turbo Tax for about 10 yrs & this is the 1st time I've seen this work flow.
What's great about it: Errors caught well in reviews
What's not so great: confusing step by step questions
