You always walk me through and give me good explanations of what I'm doing and what things mean. Trust you guys. Been using turbo tax for years. Takes me a few hours, but when I'm done, I know it is right.
What's great about it: You always walk me through and give me good explanations of what I'm doing and what things mean. Trust you guys.
What's not so great: Just nervous hoping I understand you correctly.
I got an error message when trying to download updates to the software. I tried a few of the suggestions on the help site but ended up re-installing the software. Other than that, the rest was easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Had problems with installation
It took me a while and several tries to transmit e-file Tax Return, even after checking for updates and repeatedly updating. Also saving the Tax Return to my Tax Folder is not explained well.
What's great about it: Easy to enter information
What's not so great: Not that easy to save to my tax folder and to transmit
I have been using Turbo Tax ever since the development of the IBM PC. Back in the day, you needed a dot matrix printer and needed to enter the data on an official IRS form, sign and mail. Turbo-tax always stayed ahead of the curve. Every year it is a little bit better and with a laser printer, you can do it like the pros. I think that professional LeCerte software copies Turbo Tax and that is the highest compliment. The integration with Quick Books, same owner, is a real time (life) saver. IT IS THE BEST. No comparison. who needs a CPA? puuffffhh.
What's great about it: Easy, great results, nice interface, leading edge tech
I liked the automation - much easier to download a W2 than hand-enter it, for example. The process proceeded smoothly, even though I had to go back in and add more information to a section I thought I had completed earlier. It was easy to find the right section and to add the previously-missing information. Altogether, I think TurboTax made the job as easy and painless as is possible.
What's great about it: Step-by-Step questions helped me not forget any important items
What's not so great: No way to get around it! Taxes are tedious
