Ease and Simplicity

I would recommend Turbo Tax to everyone. It is probably my fault for not being able to go back and forth in the program.
What's great about it: Applies all that can be used for a maximum refund
What's not so great: going back to look at forms and then back to where you were

Sure is way ahead of Block

All went well but at the end, my estimated tax payments had not been entered. Had to manually enter them in the Forms View.
What's great about it: Quick
What's not so great: Seems to get more difficult every year

The customer help telephone line, once I found it on the order form, was able to direct my question to a very knowledgeable associate who understood my question concerning both the K-1 (of a 1041) and how to enter the information. Found out I had to upgrade to the 'Home and Business' version and Dominic, the gentleman, directed the transfer of all information to the new software program. PLAUDITS for him!
What's great about it: Easy to traverse the program. Explanations are clear.
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to jump from one subject income, vs deductions, to the other.

Another Great Tax year with turbo tax

Was the best year ever in doing taxes. Turbo tax always makes it easy. The only thing I wish I had the choice on was taking certain credits that it offers. The main one was the Earned income Tax credit, I didn't want to take it, but it forced me to. it only saved me $8 in the long run and it made my audit likelihood go up. Other than that though, great as usual. Thanks Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy, fast, walked me through even better than before.
What's not so great: Wish I had the choice of taking the Earned income Tax credit or not.

9+ Years And Counting

I have been using Turbo Tax to file my taxes for at least the last 9 years now (I have pdf files of my TT returns back to 2005). Tax time is never a fun time, but TT makes it a lot more enjoyable by handling so much of the drudge work. The many comparisons to last year's information helps make sure I didn't forget anything or under-report items. The real time re-calculation helps me evaluate various "what if" strategies to minimize my tax burden. E-filing is a snap, and the electronic confirmations of critical transmissions and acceptances is further reassurance all is well.
What's great about it: Easy, accurate, fast, as painless as paying taxes can be!
What's not so great: Home and Business is getting a little expensive

recognize a zero

the motion picture deduction prevented me from e-filing even though I had no deduction. I had entered a zero for this deduction showing that I saw and answered the question. until I removed the zero it would not let me e-file. now it looks like I ignored or did not see the question.
What's great about it: being able to e-file
What's not so great: no phone # for personal support

I always need to call Turbo Tax to get my return filled out correctly. It can take quite a long time to get it done - even after I've entered the routine personal information. This is because I have a relatively unique situation with my earnings and expenses. Thankfully, the people staffing the phones help me get the information entered correctly AND avoiding paying.
What's great about it: Got the return done with a refund instead of a payment
What's not so great: took a long time to get the information input correctly Supervisors were harassing them to end their help.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
