Overall excellent but should have live advice available for questions such as mine noted under the cons.
What's great about it: Straightforward
What's not so great: Could not enter 1099-misc without Payer EIN which I did not have available so had to enter income under misc
Pros: I moved

GLBT+ State Taxes = Big Headache

Turbotax actually gave me my money back due to the limitations of the state program (Oregon) in dealing with my family tax situation. This is the second time they have had to do so. I appreciate that they eventually give me a refund, but I would greatly prefer they fix the issues. Federal stuff works great, and I hope that one day the state will work well, but right now it's an utter migraine to try to do the taxes and then have to deal with customer support for another couple of hours before they finally realize, nope, it's the program, not me that is the issue
What's great about it: federal product works great
What's not so great: state product not good for people in GLBT situations

Great software
Will be nice to have some more explanation on errors, particularly they should take you to where you can fix them (original entry) and also you can better understand the context of the problem
What's great about it: easy, clear
What's not so great: no direct access from error to original page

Please add remembering prior selections. When I go into job related expenses and I want to change 1 thing about my car, I should not need to reselect to do it.
Please streamline personal job related expenses. It is geared too much towards Easy one time use and not done well enough to go back and fix specific items.
Also, could you add some kind of thing to tell us if a section is worth doing or not. Like if I need 10k in medical expenses please tell me this before I go through the entire section...
What's great about it: Same great features
What's not so great: Same missing features
Pros: I had a baby

Every year I've used TurboTax for Home & Business because my tax prep is complicated. And every year I find myself struggling with why and where things need to be—or can't be—entered. This year in particular it was confusing because it told me I needed to enter certain things on certain documents but when I went to the document in one case it wouldn't ALLOW me to change the entry and I couldn't find anywhere else where it would allow me to do so. I wish you'd produce an overview of what needs to be where instead of requiring me to trust TurboTax's take on it—and then not be able to figure out how to repair something it says I need to repair, or adjust something later that I find more information on.
What's great about it: It's great to be walked through the production
What's not so great: It gets VERY confusing which deductions are allowed for business and which for home. Wish you had an OVERVIEW !
