Excellent product! Next year will be much easier.
What's great about it: took care of many details that would have taken hours by hand
What's not so great: more complex problems were not always provided detailed enough information

I got a bit confused

I found most of the program easy to use and it was fast and it seems complete. I found when I was working at my salaried job and it asked about my home office I got confused. Why did my information not transfer from my Schedule C?
What's great about it: Easy, Fast, Compelete
What's not so great: Confused me a bit
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TT Works Well

This is about the 10th year that I have used TT. Some new things to learn each year, but it works pretty well.
What's great about it: Home & Business Handled K-1's well, Did not have to override anything manually this year.
What's not so great: Genereated 1040-ES Forms indicating significant est. payments required despite owing very little extra thi year.

This is about my 10th year of using TT. Works well!
What's great about it: Home & Business Handles K-1's Pretty well and did not have to manually override any entries this year.
What's not so great: New nuannces to learn each year.

I love the double check for accuracy and missed responses. I love the ability to look at the actual tax form while filling in my answers. Love the navigation and categorizing making it not so overwhelming for business owners. At least in my case. Love the filing, printing, and signing process. Turbo Tax is very user friendly. I love the auto field input from prior year, very efficient. Not comfortable with the Section 465(d) Carryover. I couldn't delete it. Not sure if I was supposed to. I do like and purchased, this year, the Audit Protection as I am high risk for an audit. I have used Turbo Tax for over six years and I look forward to our future together.
What's great about it: Always updated with current tax laws and still as easy as ever to navigate.
What's not so great: There were a couple things I was confused about and couldn't find help that really answered my question for Illinois.

Thank goodness its finished

I am self-employed and since I do all my own paperwork - I have decided to do my own taxes - hope I am making a good decision about this - but I do think turbo tax walks you through everything
The only problem - I think is the Car Depreciation - I keep forgetting the three letters AUW - or something like that - sorry - should remember but I guess I am tired after going through all my records and doing these taxes
What's great about it: Most of it was pretty easy
What's not so great: Car allowance - - Depreciation - not detailed enough - hope I did it right

Excellent Tool - Been using it for years. If you take your stuff to someone else - ask yourself why. It's rocket science. But then I don't like giving my money to anybody for something I can easily do myself.
What's great about it: Great Tool
What's not so great: Can't really find any

GREAT FOR MOST BUT NEEDS MORE FOR COMPLEX RETURNS

MULTIPLE COUNTRY PROVISIONS FOR SCHEDULE K-1 DATA IS VERY COMPLEX AND SHOULD BE STREAMLINED SO AS TO NOT REQUIRE MULTIPLE ENTRIES OF THE SAME INFORMATION. ALSO THE CURRENT PROCEDURE IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED IN THE HELP FUNCTIONS.
ESTIMATED TAX CALCULATIONS FOR SAME AS LAST YEAR ARE BURIED IN THE PROCESS.
SOME OF THE QUESTIONS IN THE STEP-BY-STEP REVERT TO A DEFAULT EVERYTIME ONE REVIEWS THE INPUT WHICH OVERRIDES PREVIOUS INPUTS. THIS MAKES REVIEW OF DATA TIME CONSUMING BY HAVING TO RE-INPUT PREVIOUS ENTRIES.
