Better than having an accountant in the house

TurboTax has saved my sanity - leads me through the steps to cover everything. The only thing that would be helpful is to include a step by step outline of info I need to organize before starting, i.e. w2, 1099, etc., so that I can collect and organize throughout the year.
What's great about it: relatively easy
What's not so great: don't have someone doing it all for me
Every year I run into one--and only one--problem. The program asks me if I have contributed to an IRA this year. The answer is no, because I don't know how much I will be allowed to contribute. I am never asked if I WANT to contribute to an IRA, so I have to back up in the program and find some way to find out what I can contribute.
Turbo tax is great. Downloaded two states, and Turbo taxes got confused and included both states in the return, even after selection on only one particular state. Need to be able to remove a state from a complete return after multiple states downloaded
What's great about it: easy instructions to follow
What's not so great: difficult to back up sometimes, did not see exact form button
I used TuboTax in the past and every year I feel confident that my returns are accurate and up to date with all the requirments and changes that may occur during this whole process,.
What's great about it: Very easy, menu or questions driven. Drive in the Park!
What's not so great: Nothing outstanding yet
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
We have been using turbo tax for alot of years. The State Tax return still does not have lines like the Federal return does. It is confusing to review because of no lines. Could you fix that please. Also why do we have to pay to submit our State return?
What's great about it: Seems to work fine
What's not so great: There are no lines when you print out the return - could you fix that.
I've bee using TT since the 1980s and it is great to see how much it has improved. It was a breakthrough for self preparers and has advanced to the point that all you need to do is answer the questions.
What's great about it: Fast, Easy, Good Help and Explanations
What's not so great: Some Banks Missing, ie Huntington National Bank
