for the most part, it was great, just a few hiccups, but totally beats going to the big guys.. I will be using it again next year!!!

The process to enter more than one country for foreign taxes paid as reported on our 1099's was a pain, but I was able to find a solution by searching help - a good thing.
Entering a lot of charitable deductions, as we do, is quite labor intensive. Could you build a quick entry approach?
We file electronically, but when I choose to print a copy of just the forms submitted it prints 2 copies of the Federal tax forms as if we were going to file on paper.

What's great about it: Import of stock sales, completeness, leading me through the process
What's not so great: some of the information requested feels very big brotherish

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last eight years always improving and making it easier. Excellent product
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is so easy and so acurate
What's not so great: No cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The individuals that hepled us and gave the advice was good.
When trying to file it was a little confusing to go to the menu and I didn't know that I had to go out of what I was doing.
I was a little afraid that I would loss everything.
It was great to give the information and then you transported it to the correct form. Thanks. Yes I will use program again next year. This is my second year of using Turbo Tas before i did it paper and pencil.

What's great about it: Keeps information from one year to the next. Lets you know that to do next and keeps everything in order.Thanks
What's not so great: A certain form caused as a few problems and was finally told to remove it.

Turbo Tax Software 2013

Turbo Tax should make an effort to post answers (from tax professionals)to some of the questions that have no comments from the Community.There should also be more set up instructions for first time Turbo Tax Software users.
What's great about it: Customer friendly after you get through numerous hurdles as a first time user.
What's not so great: Problems with set up & connection.The Community had no answers for some of my questions.

We had to pay this year for the first time in decades but that wasn't the fault of TurboTax. In fact, I know that TurboTax helped me reduce our tax liability by the maximum amount.
What's great about it: TurboTax takes all the worry out of computing & filing taxes. The audit protection is very reassurring.
What's not so great: I can't really think of anything. TurboTax rocks!

Simplified my life

Does a good job of supporting all tax topics and placing Info on proper forms and keeps the process organized and flowing.
Fast, responsive flowing from form to form.
However that standard is not maintained in handling Oil and Gas Royalties. the first issue is selecting the appropriate TurboTax version - Do I need Premier? Do I really need Home and Business? Would Deluxe do it? In the fluff of the selections matrix there is no mention of Oil and Gas Royalties, so I bought Home and Business and it supported filing 1 (One) Schedule E form as a business (the only business activity I have). I would think it could be easier and simpler.
What's great about it: Imports last years returns; Imports Investment account activity;
What's not so great: Poor handling of Oil and Gas Royalties

Turbo Tax is terrific!

I am so happy with Turbo Tax. I used to try and do my taxes with no help. It was so hard. I did not understand the terminology the IRS used. With Turbo Tax, the questions were in plain English that I could Understand. I entered all of my information without my head exploding. Yay!!
What's great about it: made doing taxes easy by puting things in "English" instead of complicated jibberish.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
