2013 Filing experience

All areas were extremely well laid out and help was always available. The recalculation of the return refund/owed dollars is a big plus because you are always aware of the impact of an area.
What's great about it: leads you through and supplies comprehensive help along the way
What's not so great: A little ambiguous on how to print return (must use preview printout function and find 'print')

Got through it again.

This year error check would shut down the program each time I checked and I had to back track the error and reload the program each time. I think the program was not performing as designed. Some of my answers to questions seemed to be disappearing too. Entering the details went well; the checking was an ordeal; I will use Turbo again next year and hope for a bug free experience.
What's great about it: Used T-Tax Home and Business for 6 years, Feels like a friend, Easy to follow. Do a little and come back.
What's not so great: Back button goes back too far. Sometimes going back erases answers to questions.

Quick, easy, painless!

Turbotax makes paying taxes about as painless as it can get. I spent about 2 1/2 hours to do our 2013 taxes, both Federal and State. I feel comfortable that everything was covered, that all the right forms will be used, and that things will be processed quickly and efficiently. I've used TurboTax for many years, and it just keeps getting better. I'll definitely be using it again next year.
What's great about it: Great dialog-based way of entering all the information. Very efficient and complete.
What's not so great: It's taxes -- nobody likes that.

Always like root canal

I've used the CD version and the online version. The CD version is a much better experience. Helps to keep up It's Deductable, but even if you don't, it goes by quickly.
What's great about it: Easy to review
What's not so great: Software "hung" in some places

Rental Property Business

FAQ for depreciation of a roof is very weak. There seems to be two places to put most of my expense for rental property. I'm not convinced I did it correctly. I couldn't find any HELP.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate
What's not so great: Seems a little weak walking me through Rental property expenses.

I use to dread getting everything ready for a professional or working thru all the forms myself. Since I have been using Turbo Tax it has gotten easier every year. Now I whip thru our taxes in a short days time & then do my sons for him. Would be lost without Turbo Tax!
