My family & I've used Turbo Tax for the past 4 or 5 years. We used to do our taxes ourselves or hire a professional to do them for us... Never again!
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, Thourough... Makes doing it the old fashioned, pen-and-paper method look like a nightmare.
What's not so great: Some (not much) of the tax jargon was a bit hard to understand.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love the Turbo

I love Turbo Tax. I have been using it for years. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I only wish i knew about the file form button in the top left corner. I had an error and should have click on that button. I had to call to find out about that button. Maybe Turbo Tax could alert the Turbo Taxes for Dummies like me that I need to click on this button when this error occurs.
What's great about it: Easily takes you through the process.
What's not so great: Didn't know about the file form button.

I mistakenly had my 1098 interest on two separate forms & Turbo Tax did not alert me.
What's great about it: Additional information when needed
What's not so great: Seems like I had to add fee after fee

Great software for business and personal returns

While preparing tax returns is never a happy chore, TurboTax makes it easy and understandable. It reduces risk of math errors and general mistakes.
If you haven't tried it yet, you owe it to yourself to use it next year, and take the cost as an itemized deduction.
What's great about it: Easy to use; Able to input data as it becomes available; Able to change and model
What's not so great: Would like price to be more favorable for loyal customers

Saved multiple returns to my computer. Couldn't import last years info to new return. Lost all my depreciation info again.
