Seemed simple enough to use, but there were a couple items that required that I seek help from the community. Things that should have been explained better. One was a description for one of the state tax whd/pmt boxes - all the other fields were described except one, and an input was required. the other problem was that my distribution from a 529 plan included some items paid in prior year causing Turbo Tax to show the difference as income. I had to manually change this.
Also, I thought I recalled that the program was going to recommend changes for next year yet I can't find this now.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Some inconsistencies and no tax planning tips. Surprise charges

Overall had a great experience using Turbo Tax. Easy to use covered all topics and having used it for a number of years it does a good job of making sure I have not missed anything.
What's great about it: Covers all Topics very well and points out items that may also apply
What's not so great: Big picture view when starting a section hard to see

Long time user - Still needs to improve

Audit Defense Payment did not work in Turbo Tax - I needed to talk to 3 people at Turbo Tax and 4 people with external vendor in order to purchase product.
Some questions unclear...for instance, answering a question like, "When did you become a resident" should be "During 2013, when were you a resident?" I answered the first question "during 1999" which triggered many credits for a state return dating back to 1999.
What's great about it: Handles common issues well
What's not so great: Some complex explanations are unclear

Improve ability to navigate outside of interview

I have used the Home & Business version of TurboTax since its very first version (1980's?), for the past 5 or 6 years on a Mac. The program has improved continuously, though it does not seem to be as nice on the Mac as on a PC - but better than Quicken ever was! However, this year, the navigation outside of the interview was just too difficult, and for some forms, almost useless. One used to be able to navigate to a question in the interview to check or change one's answer(s). Now, in many instances, when you get to the question, the program appears to have forgotten your answer, and it makes you feel like you have to navigate through the whole form to ensure that it is correct. Some of the State forms are particularly bad at this. For one of my states, I could not find a way to go to an item within the interview and be sure that everything before or after that item was correct - I felt compelled to track through every question of the State interview to be sure it was all correct. It should not have to be that difficult!
What's great about it: Relatively straightforward
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate if need to go back and forth

Overall, very good program that i have used for 6(+) years both for business and personal taxes.
This was first year that i had problems filing electronically which may be function of time of year and having to update program 3 times in one sitting. Wasn't until i restarted program 3 times and restarted computer that it would finally transmit.
I have trained in tax preparation about 15 years ago and have used and recommend TURBOTAX to family and friends. This is a problematic year with the ACA and so many changes in codes, so i take the glitch into consideration of these factors. i will buy again next year.
What's not so great: Had a software glitch but resolved after restarting computer twice
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
