I had a difficult return this year with the addition of college, investment property, SSD. But I believe we made it through ok.
What's great about it: As always Turbo Tax makes it easy to follow, even in some difficult situations that DIY's find difficult.
What's not so great: There were a couple of things that I was not clear on, asking on TT Community helped, but there were two question no one

Great Way to File your Taxes

I use to hire an account to file my taxes, so a couple of years ago, I still let him complete my taxes, but I completed a TurboTax form to see how close we were. Other than the depreciation method we were right on. So from then on I don't and won't use any other method. GREAT PROGRAM!!!
What's great about it: After gathering the required information, this is a Great Program

Still using after many years

I have been using TT since its very earliest incarnation as Personal Tax Edge. It makes an otherwise painful process not only endurable, but should I say it, somewhat fun?
Simple praise aside, this is an excellent product that year in and year out helps with a process that would otherwise require that I retain the services of a much more expensive resource.
On the other hand, when it comes to more complex tax forms, such as investment 1099s, almost every year I see something on such a 1099 form that does require a call to my accountant friend. This is because, there is nothing in TT that matches precisely these unusually identified 1099 numbers. Often, these relate to the reporting of foreign taxes paid, especially the letter nomenclature that TT does not provide in its pull down menus (e.g., again this year I had a little trouble getting the letter L in the appropriate box.
Otherwise, a great product and one that I anticipate using well into the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Updates seem to continue right up to filing date. Could this cause problems?

Easy, great product. Whwn errors show up at end - hard to figure out how to correct. That said, it was better this uear

What's not so great: Some of the prev year auto Xfer is hard to find to change
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is the first time I've ever amended a return. TurboTax made the process very easy. It was a little confusing when I got to the end and saw the payment/ refund section, as I thought the amount they showed was a revised amount in total, but is actually an adjustment to be paid or received in addition to the original. Once I studied the details I figured out how the new payment / refund worked and it all made sense.
What's great about it: Made handling an Amended Return very easy
What's not so great: For amended return the payment changes were a little confusing

Another great product. Its INTUITive, and finds every deduction for you. Importing from last years return and quicken make life easy.
