Turbo Tax First Time User - Summary

First time using Turbo Tax and used the Home and Business Edition. Clear instructions, easy to follow directions. I had a problem with the on-line version. Turbo Tax kept using my 2012 information and entered that into my 2013 taxes. I deleted everything and started again but the same thing occurred.
I called Turbo Tax customer support and they were great to work with. They eventually had to send me a downloaded version of the Home and Business program to resolve the problem and that corrected all of my previous problems.
Again the Turbo Tax program worked great, customer support was great to work with and they quickly solved my problems.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax was easy to use, and nice to have a program automatically update all Federal and State forms as you proceed.
What's not so great: Trouble with the on-line version and had to delete everything and start over twice.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Useful experience

In general, TurboTax is a very useful tool. It effectively walks one through the process of filling in the necessary data.
However, with the changing forms and rules, it is sometimes difficult to get back to the correct place to make a change or correct an error. This was particularly true with the sale of equities and itemized deductions.
Once an entry is made in a particular place, TurboTax does not allow you to go back and either delete the entry or make a change. If there is a way to make a change, it is not evident!
What's great about it: Step by step approach helps collect and orgainze supporting information.
What's not so great: Often diffi9cult to get back to the correct place to make a correction.

Mostly Great, but still a little work to do

Most things seem to be a little smoother than last year, and I still really appreciate my tax documents done on my PC (I don't want them in the cloud).
But this has to be the third year the software in the step-by-step I've NOT been asked for my bank routing info. It should be automatically pulled from my federal entry, and I should be asked if this is what I want on my state return. This must be the third year I've had to search to find the location to manually enter the routing numbers before I print them to mail them in. Otherwise, the print outs are blank for the bank routing direct deposit information.

Note to Tech Support: For the last three years, after doing an update, TurboTax does not restart as suggested and must be started by double-clicking on the icon.
What's great about it: Long time user, so Turbotax is easy to use each year
What's not so great: No complaints

I have used TurboTax for many years and I appreciate all your hard work to simplify a great mess.
What's great about it: It walks me though a complicated mess.
What's not so great: . Error check did not work too well for me until final review.

Turbo Tax 2013

Very complicated and user unfriendly this year. I've used Turbo Tax since 1995. This is by far the most user unfriendly of the bunch.
What's great about it: Was able to do myself
What's not so great: Much more difficult and user unfriendly than last year
