I thought this year's Home & Business tax guide was more complicated than previous years and certainly less generous.

Extra fees are way too high.

I have used turbotax home and business for several years now and I find that the extra fee for a second state and for e filing the states are very expensive.
What's great about it: Software is thorough and makes filing easier.
What's not so great: The fees for the extra state and for efiling states are way too high

As always - fast and easy

As always fast and easy. Takes longer to gather everything needed than actually go through the process. Use for friend and myself - mine has business stuff and still faster and way less expensive than accountant.
What's great about it: Remember last year so can check to ensure caught everything
What's not so great: Almost too helpful sometimes

More work then expected

This was the worst experince I have had with this program. It did not cover all the topics. Had to do it myself!
What's great about it: easier than doing it by hand
What's not so great: It did not go thru all the steps. I had to go back & enter several major business expenses myself.

Was worried that we would need to consult an accountant, but we made it through our taxes with a small business, selling/buying a home and selling a IRA.
What's great about it: Inexpensive

Almost makes it fun

Overall, TurboTax almost makes me look forward to doing our taxes. I like to be able tro enter information as it comes in and then the interview to make sure I've covered all the angles. It's great not to have to do the math and to have the numbers automatically entered on the correct final forms. I like to watch the refund total go up and down as I enter the information. We had some problems filing in the information for a like-kind transaction because we did not understand all the questions.
What's great about it: Easy, detailed interview, yet flexibile enough to choose where to go.
What's not so great: When we went back to add information, some yes and no answers had to be re-entered
