I don't understand why the questions regarding our LLC status for a single rental property popped up after my forms were efiled. I had to look up how to remove LLC forms but that was after the taxes were sent.
What's great about it: constant checking made me confident to efile
What's not so great: barage of questions regarding rental entries after forms were efiled,,,now i have no confidence.
Every time you audit your own inputs on income, many of the choices that you click on either return to some default or disappear altogether meaning you must go through all of the steps to ensure your work is complete.
Defined benefit pensions do not have anything to do with RMD or Required Minimum Distribution. Yet the program requires a yes or no and the help center suggests that either answer would work . This quirk seems absurd.
What's great about it: For the most part, the program works well
What's not so great: Annoying and time consuming quirks
Second year, same download problem. clck radio button for MAC version, website downloads WIN version. Need to call and get MAC version over phone. Slight hassle. Have used since MacIntax was name, over 10 years. Also program should call for update check in review stage, not after paying during efile. Seems to bring everything forward from past years, even when changing which version used over the years.
What's great about it: Good walk through and easy to tab to Forms and back.
What's not so great: Download issue & it should do update prior to efile payment.
